Trading Assistant
Chopper Trading LLC, a privately owned proprietary trading company with its corporate headquarters in Chicago’s Board of Trade building, is seeking exceptional and highly motivated individuals for the position of Trading Assistant. Founded in 2002, the company consists of approximately 125 proprietary traders, quants, software engineers and analysts who trade a variety of financial instruments, including equities, interest rate products, energy products, agricultural products, metals and currencies. Our traders and analysts have the most technologically advanced systems and the latest research tools at their disposal.

The trading assistant position is an opportunity for individuals seeking to enter the financial industry and gain exposure to fixed income trading and markets. Responsibilities include assisting traders and analysts in the execution of various tasks, research, fulfilling daily operational duties and eventually managing senior traders’ positions on the night desk. The individual hired for this position will receive valuable experience and practical training in fixed income trading, and will have excellent potential for advancement. All of those hired for this position are expected to move into trading positions. Recent graduates, entry-level candidates and those currently in their final year of working towards their degree are welcome to apply.
Requirements:
Candidates should be results-driven and possess excellent organizational and time management skills. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. Superior analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a Bachelor’s Degree from a top-tier school are also required. Eligible to work in the United States.
