Software Engineer
Chopper Trading LLC, a privately owned proprietary trading company with corporate headquarters in Chicago’s Board of Trade building, is seeking exceptional and highly motivated individuals for the position of Software Engineer. Founded in 2002, the company consists of approximately 125 proprietary traders, quants, software engineers and analysts who trade a variety of financial instruments, including equities, interest rate products, energy products, agricultural products, metals and currencies. This position will include working on the main trading applications and trade-support tools. Primary responsibilities of this role are timely implementation of functionality, estimating task durations, and implementation of unit tests.
Requirements:
The requirements for this role are a bachelor’s, master’s, or doctorate degree in computer science.
Advanced knowledge of C++, STL and multi-threading.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired skills also include knowledge of C# and Perl.
